Paralleling Collision Detection on Five-Axis Machining

With the rapid growth of Fourth Industrial Revolution (or Industry 4.0), five-axis machining has played an important role nowadays. Due to expensive cost machining, how solve collision detection for in real-time is very critical. In this paper, we present a parallel method detect machining. Moreover, apply bounding volume hierarchy technique with two-level represent surface or solid object reduce triangle meshes inside each axis machine tool, and then matching operating range limit tool itself, delete no colliding mesh. Additionally, also propose some optimization loop unrolling prefetching techniques improve performance detection. Our approach can execution time significantly by computing six separating axes plan eleven non-plan between two based on characteristic GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) program acceleration. proposed work consists kinematic analysis interpolation save numerous computations. experiment, result shows that using above achieve approximately 37.1 times speedup than CPU.
